Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so that we can answer it. We keep the message within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive routine technical information when a visitor loads a page:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. The content identifies the Lamar County offices and Texas systems that hold official material, including court clerks, the sheriff, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas criminal-history release is controlled in part by Government Code Chapter 411. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not turned into a report or criminal record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted to a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. Review those terms before running a query because we do not control the provider's processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Lamar County offices, Texas agencies, courts, other public resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves our pages, the destination's privacy terms control. Check them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and tailor ads. Their tracking is subject to their policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:

We use customary safeguards for information in our control. No internet service can promise perfect security, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541 gives covered consumers rights regarding personal data, subject to the law's scope, exceptions, and identity-verification rules. Other rights may come from the law where you live. When applicable, those rights may let you:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
